Career Services
Allied Health Institute's Department of Career Development offers a variety of personalized career services to current students, recent graduates and alumni. Our skilled professionals offer a range of Job search strategies such as:
- Interview tips
- Information about career fields and employment outlook
- Resume and cover letter assistance
- Information on local, regional, state and national career fairs and events
- Career-related workshops on topics including resume development, professional etiquette and interviewing techniques
- Individual career coaching targeted specifically to the student and his or her goals
We also host a variety of online events for students and graduates including virtual job fairs, networking events, on-site interviews and job search seminars on various topics. More broadly, our network of industry relationships can introduce you to opportunities throughout North America in an effort to help you achieve your personal career goals.
Job Opportunities
Graduates seeking the right place of employment and right position often need resources to aid them in their search. In addition to tools and resources focused on career planning, AHI offer services and resources that are designed to help students and alumni find potential employment.
Employer Partnership Program
Identifying organizations that are seeking individuals with your skill sets, experience, and educational background can be challenging. We work directly with employers to help provide exposure to our highly qualified students and alumni. Our goal is to align current students and alumni with employers and open positions that match their qualifications through our Employer Partnership Program.
Resume Review
When getting ready to apply for a position, it is crucial to have your resume reviewed by experienced professionals. We offer resume review services, in which we will work one-on-one with you to help prepare your resume for the job in mind. If you have completed a cover letter that you would like reviewed, our staff will give you the same attention that was given to reviewing your resume. Our goal is to give you confidence in your resume and cover letter.
Internships
Internships emphasize on-the-job training to further enhance an individual's experience in a particular field or industry. The Department of Career Development provides a collection of internship resources and work with employers directly to offer our students and alumni internship opportunities.
Career Fairs
Finding well respected employers from around the globe, gathered in one space, is an enormous benefit to job seekers. We can provide information on national and local career fairs to help students and alumni connect with employers.
