The Medical Assistant program provides students the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in a clinic or physician’s office. Throughout the program -and to function successfully in an entry-level position as a Medical Assistant- students are introduced to a vast knowledgebase required in the areas of anatomy & physiology, pathology, the body systems, medical terminology, medical front office procedures, x-ray, electrocardiography and laboratory diagnostic procedures. The program includes a balance of didactic classroom instruction and clinical experiences.
